Paul D. Thornton is a PhD chemist and technical manager with deep experience in a broad range of chemistry disciplines. Formally trained in organic chemistry, Paul is passionate about bringing better, greener chemistry innovations to market, and solving challenges at the interface of business and technology.

Paul formerly served as a Technology Development Manager and Senior Scientist at GreenCentre Canada. In this role he worked extensively with numerous start-ups and multinational corporations, leading projects that addressed the technical hurdles of new chemical innovations and positioning these innovations for market success. Paul has developed an extensive network of academic and business leaders and makes frequent contributions to the green chemistry community. Paul is the Founder and Principal of Thornton Chemistry, a consultancy focused on addressing the commercial and technical development needs of innovators in the chemical industry.
